Beetroot & Raw Chocolate Bliss Balls

Some say hmmmm yaaa!! some say hmmmm nahhh.

I love beetroot because its sweet and it good for me. It’s high in Vitamin C ,so its super sweet for your immune system. It boosts your stamina 😉 for those who love the idea of endurance. Drink some beet juice prior to ‘exercise of your choice’ and you’ll have more energy, for longer…..

Its a great anti-inflammatory and helps fight cancerous cells, hence why those with cancer go on crazy juice fast, drinking loads of beet juice. With its high mineral content, its a cocktail of greatness on its own, being high in the Vitamin B folate and minerals, manganese and potassium. Beets are also full of fibre, so it makes you poop and when you poop, its purple! Which I always find funny.

Anyways so mixing that with chocolate…my favourite thing in the world, you cant go wrong.

Here’s the recipe;

3 tablespoons of Beetroot powder – you can use fresh beetroot if you like although it will change the consistency of your bliss balls so I used beet powder.

150g raw chocolate – Perfect Raw Chocolate

1 cup of Almonds

1 cup of Cashews

1 cup of Flaxmeal

1/2 cup coconut oil – melted

2 tbs of Maple Syrup

Put everything in you food processor and blend until combined.

Then roll into your desired size balls.

I dipped mine, half in coconut and half in beet powder and stuck a macadamia on top. Hmmmm yumm.
