‘I can smell em from across the street’ Banana, Fig & Caramel Buckwheat Waffles!

Every time I made these waffles people would come from all corners, asking what it was I was cooking. Cos the smell…oh my god was divine! it was the combination of  banana and vanilla being toasted and wafting through the streets.

If I could describe them for you the batter is crunchy on the outside and a little bit fluffy on the inside, with the aromas of banana and vanilla. Topped with Caramel Cashew Creme (recipe coming soon) and Blueberry Chia Jam. Sprinkled with crunchy almonds and a dried fig.

Leave me alone with these waffles anytime!!

This recipe should make about 5.

Ingredients:

2cups of Buckwheat flour

2 Cups of Almond Mylk

1 1/2 Banana

1/4cup of Maple Syrup

Pinch of Salt

Method:

Firstly I would put all but one cup of buckwheat flour in the vita-mix and blend on high.

Once combined put the rest of the buckwheat flour in and mix until smooth.

Make sure your waffle iron is hot! I would always add a little bit of coconut oil on the pan because its makes it a little crunchy and adds a little taste of coconut. Put in enough batter to cover the pan and shut. Leave until the waffle machine beeps.

Take it off and dress it how ever you like.

You can add your favourite fillings; chocolate chips, blueberries, raspberries, white chocolate chunks!(recipe coming soon)

Make them your own and enjoy
